Mount Sinai names interim CIO

Mount Sinai Health System has named an interim CIO after its previous IT leader departed for Northwell Health.

Bruce Darrow, MD, PhD, was appointed interim chief digital and information officer of the New York City-based health system. He is filling the vacancy left by Kristin Myers, who became the inaugural chief digital officer of New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health on Jan. 16.

Dr. Darrow joined Mount Sinai in 2004. He has served as chief medical information officer since 2012 and was previously deputy CIO under Ms. Myers. He is also a professor of cardiology and population health science and policy.
