Joplin, Mo.-based Freeman Health System named Kory Browning market president for Northwest Arkansas.
Mr. Browning, who serves as CEO of Freeman Health System–Springdale (Ark.) Medical Center, had been interim market president since June 14, according to a Sept. 1 health system news release.
Mr. Browning has more than a decade of healthcare leadership experience, including previous service as COO.
His appointment follows Freeman’s $110 million acquisition of four Arkansas hospitals June 1. The deal doubled the system’s hospital footprint and made it a four-state operator.
