Joplin, Mo.-based Freeman Health System appointed Kory Browning as interim market president for its Arkansas market, effective June 14.
Mr. Browning currently serves as CEO of Freeman Health System–Springdale (Ark.) Medical Center, according to a June 11 health system news release.
Mr. Browning has more than a decade of healthcare leadership experience across multiple systems. He has previous executive leadership experience as COO and has focused on quality, safety and operational performance throughout his healthcare career.
In his interim role, he will provide leadership continuity across Freeman’s Arkansas market as the organization continues to integrate services throughout the region.
Freeman Health System doubled its hospital footprint and became a four-state operator on June 1 with its $110 million acquisition of four Arkansas hospitals.
