Missouri system names chief strategy officer

Joplin, Mo.-based Freeman Health System appointed Alex Curran as senior vice president and chief strategy officer.

In his new role, Mr. Curran will lead the development, communication and execution of Freeman’s overall strategy, according to an Oct. 22 health system news release. 

His focus includes partnership development, system integration and data-informed growth initiatives to support long-term financial success. Mr. Curran aims to align strategy with operations to enable frontline teams to focus on patient care, the release said.

He previously held leadership roles at New York City-based New York-Presbyterian Hospital, NYU Langone Health and Mount Sinai Hospital. He most recently worked as a healthcare strategy and finance consultant with hospitals and physician groups nationwide.
