Meriter-UnityPoint Health appoints Arthur Nizza CEO

Madison, Wis.-based Meriter-UnityPoint Health, part of Des Moines, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health, has appointed Arthur Nizza, DSW, president and CEO, effective Feb. 16, 2015.

Currently, Mr. Nizza serves as president of MidHudson Regional of Westchester Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., where he is credited for leading the transition from a standalone entity to a regional hospital of an academic medical center.

Previously, Mr. Nizza was president and CEO of Stellaris Health Network in Armonk, N.Y. Before that, he held executive leadership roles at academic medical centers, including Mount Sinai and NYU in New York City.

Mr. Nizza holds master’s and doctoral degrees in social welfare from Adelphi University in Garden City, N.Y.
