Merit Health hospital names CEO

Merit Health Natchez (Miss.) has named Kevin Samrow its next CEO, effective July 31, according to The Natchez Democrat

Mr. Samrow has served Mableton, Ga.-based Merit Health in the past as chief operating officer for Merit Health River Region in Vicksburg, Miss. However, he has served as CEO for AllianceHealth’s Durant and Madill hospitals, both in Oklahoma, since 2019. Merit and Alliance are both part of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems.

He succeeds Garett May, who departed to serve as chief operating officer of Huntsville, Ala.-based Crestwood Medical Center.
