Mercy Health-Springfield names COO, CNO

Mercy Health-Springfield (Ohio) has tapped Chris Howe to serve as COO and Rhonda Beane as chief nursing officer.

Mr. Howe, who will assume his new role Nov. 18, previously served as CEO of Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, W.Va. He also has experience as assistant CEO of Regional Hospital of Scranton (Pa.) He holds a master’s degree in health administration from the University of South Carolina in Columbia.

Ms. Beane will assume her new role Nov. 11. She previously worked at St. Louis University Hospital, where she led surgical services. She was formerly director of surgical services and inpatient gastroenterology at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison

Mr. Howe succeeds Adam Groshans, who was named president of Mercy Health-Springfield in August, while Ms. Beane replaces Elaine Storrs, who left for a role in another organization.
