Fountain Valley, Calif.-based MemorialCare Health System appointed Ikenna Mmeje COO at Long Beach (Calif.) Memorial Medical Center and Tamra Kaplan, PharmD, COO at Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach.
Mr. Mmeje most recently served as CEO at Doctors Hospital of Manteca (Calif.). He was previously COO of Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, Calif. A fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, he earned a master's degree in health services administration from Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan.
Ms. Kaplan is the former COO of Long Beach Memorial. She worked within the MemorialCare family since 1989, when she joined as a clinical pharmacy resident.
