Dr. DeAngelis previously served as chair of the neurology department. A brain cancer specialist, she was also co-founder of MSK’s Brain Tumor Center.
She joined Memorial Sloan Kettering as a neuro-oncology fellow in 1985 and was appointed neurology department chair in 1997. She held that role until September 2018, when she became acting physician-in-chief.
Dr. DeAngelis is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine and a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Neurological Association.
