McLaren Greater Lansing taps Kirk Ray as CEO: 5 things to know

McLaren Greater Lansing (Mich.) named Kirk Ray president and CEO, effective May 9, according to a Lansing State Journal report.

Here are five things to know:

1. Currently, Mr. Ray serves as CEO of Lutheran Health Network’s Kosciusko Community Hospital and Lutheran Health Physicians in Warsaw, Ind.

2. He previously served in top leadership roles at ValleyCare Health System of Ohio in Youngstown and DeKalb Health in Auburn, Ind.

3. He holds an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion.

4. Mr. Ray succeeds Tom Mee, BSN, who resigned suddenly in January.

5. Casey Kandow, who was serving as interim president and CEO, will go back to serving as COO.
