Matt Grimshaw to assume market CEO role at CHI Trinity Health System: 6 things to know

Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives selected Matt Grimshaw to serve as market CEO of Steubenville, Ohio-based CHI Trinity Health System, effective July 31.

Here are six things to know:

1. Currently, Mr. Grimshaw serves as west region president of Bismarck, N.D.-based CHI St. Alexius Health. He assumed the position in March.

2. In his current role, which is a newly created position, Mr. Grimshaw oversees four critical access hospitals and five clinical sites in North Dakota.

3. He also served as president of CHI St. Alexius Health-Williston (N.D.) Medical Center since 2010. He continued in this role in addition to taking on the expanded responsibilities of CHI St. Alexius Health’s west region president.

4. Before joining CHI St. Alexius Health, he was executive vice president and administrator at Immanuel St. Joseph’s-Mayo Health System in Mankato, Minn.

5. He holds an MBA degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C.

6. Mr. Grimshaw succeeds Fred Brower, who retired in 2016. An interim CEO has led the system since then.
