Maine hospital president steps down

Gregory LaFrancois has stepped down as president of Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

A search for a permanent successor will launch in the spring, the memo said, which was sent on behalf of Brewer, Maine-based Northern Light Health President and CEO Tim Dentry.

Ms. Collins, who leads the Northern Light Lafayette Family Cancer Institute in Brewer, has focused on operational improvements at Eastern Maine Medical Center in recent weeks, Mr. Dentry said. She will continue in her current role in addition to the interim position.

Mr. LaFrancois joined the hospital as president in May 2023 following the resignation of Rand O’Leary.
