Louisiana hospital removes ‘interim’ from CEO Dionne Viator’s title

Dionne Viator is the new president and CEO of Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, La., the Iberia Parish Hospital Service District No. 1 board of commissioners announced.

Ms. Viator has been the hospital’s interim CEO since October. A certified public accountant, she also previously served as CFO of Iberia Medical Center.

At the hospital, she played a key role in leading financial improvement as well as renegotiating managed care contracts and negotiating an $11 million bond issuance.

Ms. Viator was executive vice president, CFO and treasurer of the Lafayette, La.-based LHC Group, a publicly traded healthcare provider, earlier in her career.
