Longview Regional Medical Center CEO resigns: 3 things to know

Longview (Texas) Regional Medical Center CEO Jim Kendrick will leave his position at the end of July to serve as Network CEO for 10 Oklahoma hospitals affiliated with Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems.

Here are three things to know about Mr. Kendrick.

1. Mr. Kendrick has been at Longview Regional for 10 years.

2. During his time at Longview Regional, Mr. Kendrick led the organization through an expansion that almost doubled the number of licensed beds, added a new 21-bed neonatal intensive care unit and remodeled all existing patient rooms, according to the hospital.

3. In a news release, Tim Vaughn, Longview Regional Board of Trustees Chairman, said Mr. Kendrick’s operational and leadership experience “will be a tremendous asset to the Oklahoma hospitals as they come together as a network.”
