Lifepoint hospital in Texas names CEO

Doug Holzbog was appointed CEO of Paris (Texas) Regional Health, part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Health, effective Aug. 31.

Mr. Holzbog currently serves as market CEO for three Texas hospitals: Palestine Regional Medical Center, Ennis Regional Medical Center and Parkview Regional Hospital, according to an Aug. 19 news release. He returns to Paris Regional, where he was executive director of network development from 2019 to 2022.

He succeeds Steve Hyde, who retired in June after nearly a decade with the hospital and a career spanning more than 40 years in healthcare.

“Doug understands this hospital, this community and the important role Paris Regional plays in meeting the health care needs of this region,” Elmer Polite, division president, said in the release. “He returns with broader operational and executive leadership experience.”

Paris Regional Health is a 154-bed acute care hospital serving northeast Texas and southeast Oklahoma, with more than 800 employees and providers.
