Kenneth A. Samet. President and CEO of MedStar Health (Columbia, Md.). As president and CEO of MedStar Health — a $4.6 billion nonprofit healthcare delivery system — Mr. Samet provides strategic oversight and management for MedStar’s 10 hospitals and a comprehensive network of health-related research, ambulatory, home health businesses and a multi-specialty physician network. Before his appointment as CEO in 2008, Mr. Samet was president and COO for roughly five years. Mr. Samet is currently a member of the board of directors at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., the Greater Baltimore Committee, the Economic Club of Washington, United Way of the National Capital Area and Goodwill of Greater Washington. He also serves on the executive committee for the Greater Washington Board of Trade board and the Federal City Council board.
