Kansas hospital names CEO

Cathy Pimple, DNP, RN, has been promoted from chief administrative officer to CEO of Newman Regional Health in Emporia, Kan., according to the Emporia Gazette

Dr. Pimple has served the hospital for the majority of her career, beginning as a nurse’s aide. In 2013 — with a BSN, Master of Science in public health, and doctorate in leadership under her belt — she was named the hospital’s chief quality and compliance officer. She became its chief information officer, then chief administrative officer, before being named to the helm. 

She succeeds Bob Wright, who is retiring Oct. 1.
