Travis Battagler, BSN, has been named CEO of Girard (Kan.) Medical Center.

He succeeds Ruth Duling, who retired after eight years as CEO, according to a July 14 hospital news release.

Ms. Duling spent 30 years with the hospital, during which she strengthened services and expanded community partnerships.

Mr. Battagler brings 20 years of clinical and operational experience. He most recently served as director of heart center, radiology and surgical services at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, where he oversaw three service lines across 18 departments, launched its electrophysiology program and led radiology space renovations.
