1. Dr. Handel comes to IU Health from Charleston-based Medical University of South Carolina, where he served as executive medical director and CMO.
2. He previously served as vice chair of clinical affairs for the emergency medicine department at Portland-based Oregon Health and Science University.
3. He will provide care in the emergency department at IU Health Bloomington (Ind.) Hospital in addition to his new role.
