Kim Bourne plans to retire as president and CEO of Taylorville (Ill.) Memorial Hospital, effective Jan. 9.
Ms. Bourne has led the hospital since 2015, according to a Dec. 5 hospital news release shared with Becker’s. During her tenure, the organization completed a modernized facility construction project in 2021 and received several state and national honors for excellence in patient care.
She began her healthcare career in 1989 at Springfield (Ill.) Memorial Hospital and held leadership roles in food and nutrition, patient transport and patient safety before being named CEO of Taylorville Memorial. In 2011, she received the Woody Hester Legacy of Leadership Award, which honors Memorial Health leaders for exemplary vision and guidance.
Taylorville Memorial Hospital is part of Springfield, Ill.-based Memorial Health.
