HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital’s new CEO is Aaron Puchbauer: 5 notes

HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital in Shelbyville, Ill., appointed Aaron Puchbauer president and CEO, effective May 15, according to WMCI 101.3. The hospital is a part of Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System.

1. Mr. Puchbauer is currently serving as interim president and CEO of HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, Ill.

2. Prior to that, he was director of operations at St. Francis Hospital.

3. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

4. He holds an MBA degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia.

5. HSHS Central Illinois Division President and CEO E.J. Kuiper will take over as interim leader of St. Francis Hospital until a permanent successor is named.
