Highmark Health selects new CFO: 4 things to know

Pittsburgh-based Highmark Health appointed Saurabh Tripathi executive vice president and CFO, effective April 22.

Highmark Health is the parent company of Highmark, Allegheny Health Network and HM Health Solutions.

Four things to know:

1. Mr. Tripathi was senior vice president and CFO of Fresenius Kidney Care, Fresenius Vascular Care, National Cardiovascular Partners, Fresenius Labs and Fresenius Physician Practices at Fresenius Medical Care in Boston.

2. He has prior leadership experience at GE Healthcare and Procter & Gamble.

3. He holds an MBA from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.

4. Mr. Tripathi succeeds Karen Hanlon, who was named COO in 2018. Ms. Hanlon has served in a dual role since.
