Heartland Regional Medical Center names Melisa Adkins CEO: 4 notes

Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Ill., tapped Melisa Adkins, BSN, MBA, to lead as CEO, effective Feb. 13, 2017, according to The Daily Republican.

1. Ms. Adkins currently serves as CNO of Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tenn.

2. Prior to that, she served as Heartland Regional Medical Center’s CNO from 2011 to 2015.

3. She holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Phoenix.

4. She replaces interim CEO Kane Dawson.
