McLaren Flint taps McLaren Oakland CEO Chad Grant as new leader: 4 things to know

McLaren Flint (Mich.) appointed Chad M. Grant president and CEO, effective Jan. 30, 2017.

Here are four things to know:

1. Mr. Grant is currently president and CEO of Pontiac, Mich.-based McLaren Oakland.

2. At McLaren Flint, he is replacing Don Kooy, who retired.

3. He came to McLaren Oakland as president and CEO in December 2014 after 20 years in various leadership roles at the Detroit Medical Center.

4. Mark O’Halla, executive vice president and COO at Flint-based McLaren Health Care, the parent of both hospitals, will take over as interim CEO of McLaren Oakland until Mr. Grant’s successor has been named.
