HCA North Texas President James Scoggin to Retire

James Scoggin Jr., president of Hospital Corp. of America’s North Texas Division in Dallas, will retire from his post, effective Oct. 1.

Mr. Scoggin, 55, has worked at Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA for 26 years. He has been president of 14-hospital HCA North Texas since 2006.

HCA announced that Erol Akdamar, current CEO of HCA’s Medical City Dallas Hospital, will replace Mr. Scoggin. Mr. Akdamar has led the 677-bed Medical City Dallas Hospital since 2010.
