HCA Houston Healthcare selects 1st chief administrative officer: 5 things to know

HCA Houston Healthcare tapped Evan Ray to serve as executive vice president and chief administrative officer, a newly created role, effective April 1.

Five things to know:

1. Most recently, Mr. Ray served as president of St. Vincent’s Birmingham (Ala.) and St. Vincent’s Chilton in Clanton, Ala.

2. He joined Birmingham-based St. Vincent’s Health System in 2012.

3. He is an associate member and fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

4. Mr. Ray holds an MBA and a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

5. In his new role, Mr. Ray will be responsible for expanding services, hospital operations and strategic planning, among other areas.
