HCA Florida hospital names CEO

Cameron Howard was appointed CEO of Oviedo (Fla.) Medical Center, part of HCA Florida Healthcare. 

Mr. Howard began his new role March 24, according to a hospital news release. 

He oversees OMC, a 64-bed facility, as well as multiple affiliated freestanding emergency rooms: HCA Florida Baldwin Park Emergency, HCA Florida Alafaya Emergency and HCA Florida Maitland Emergency. 

Prior to joining OMC, Mr. Howard served as COO of HCA Florida Osceola Hospital in Kissimmee, where he played a key role in the completion of two freestanding emergency rooms and worked to secure two additional freestanding ERs that are now under development, according to the release.

Osceola Hospital and OMC are both part of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare.
