HackensackUMC names Mark Sparta COO

Hackensack (N.J.) University Medical Center has made Mark D. Sparta the executive vice president and COO of the organization, according to a report from The Paramus Post.

Mr. Sparta accepted the expanded role in addition to his current position as executive vice president and chief population health officer of the Hackensack University Health Network.In his new role, Mr. Sparta will tackle the task of developing and leading the implementation of various strategic directives at HackensackUMC. The focus of the directives will include clinical, financial, quality of care, service and workforce objectives, according to the report.

Robert C. Garrett, president and CEO of HackensackUHN, offered Mr. Sparta his congratulations. 

“Mark has been a colleague for over 25 years and I look forward to seeing him enhance the reputation of excellence at HackensackUMC while continuing to lend his expertise to the network as chief population health officer,” Mr. Garrett told The Paramus Post.
