The approval makes the consortium the only organization in the U.S. to be federally recognized to accredit joint postgraduate NP/PA residency and fellowship training programs, the group said in a May 29 news release.

The Consortium for Advanced Practice Providers was the first accrediting agency to earn federal recognition to accredit postgraduate NP residency and fellowship training programs in 2022.
