George Greene steps in as Hospital Association of Southern California’s new CEO: 4 things to know

The Hospital Association of Southern California named George W. Greene, JD, president and CEO, effective Feb. 1, 2017.

Here are four things to know:

1. Mr. Greene is currently president and CEO of the Healthcare Association of Hawaii.

2. He has previously held roles with the American Hospital Association and Sharp HealthCare in San Diego.

3. In his new role, Mr. Greene will oversee health policy development as well as lead advocacy and representation efforts for the association’s 175 hospital members.

4. He will succeed Jim Barber, who is planning to retire after 27 years with the association.
