Gary Kaplan, MD. Chairman and CEO of Virginia Mason Health System (Seattle). Dr. Kaplan assumed the role of chairman and CEO of Virginia Mason Health System in 2000. A fellow of the American College of Physicians, he also continues to practice internal medicine at Virginia Mason. Dr. Kaplan, a founding member of Health CEOs for Health Reform, has also held leadership roles with various organizations, such as the Washington Healthcare Forum and the Medical Group Management Association.
