Franklin Hospital CFO Jim Johnson named to CEO role: 4 things to know

Franklin Hospital in Benton, Ill., appointed current CFO Jim Johnson as the hospital’s new CEO, effective immediately, according to The Southern Illinoisan.

Here are four things to know:

1. For the time being, Mr. Johnson will serve as both CFO and CEO.

2. Mr. Johnson has previously served as CFO at Thomas H. Boyd Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, Ill., and at St. Joseph’s Hospital of Highland (Ill.).

3. He replaces former CEO Hervey Davis, who retired in June.

4. The hospital is currently facing $5.4 million in debt. However, Mr. Johnson stated, “Franklin Hospital is not closing. We’re going to move forward,” according to the report.
