Franciscan Alliance, a nonprofit Catholic health system in the Midwest, is shifting some geographic responsibilities for its hospital leadership in Northwest Indiana and Chicago’s south suburbs, according to a Sept. 12 news release shared with Becker’s.
The system said the changes, which are scheduled to take effect Sept. 20, are “to better reflect its regional approach to healthcare.”
Raymond Grady, president and CEO of Franciscan Health Olympia Fields (Ill.), was appointed president and CEO of Franciscan Alliance’s Lake County hospitals and clinics, including Franciscan Health Crown Point (Ind.), Franciscan Health Dyer (Ind.) and Franciscan Health Munster (Ind.).
Mr. Grady is replacing Crown Point interim President and CEO Barbara Anderson, who came out of retirement to serve in the role after Daniel McCormick, MD, left the role to pursue other opportunities earlier this year, according to the release. Dr. McCormick currently serves as executive chief clinical officer at Chicago-based Cook County Health.
Franciscan Alliance said Mr. Grady also assumes the roles in Dyer and Munster previously held by Dean Mazzoni. Mr. Mazzoni remains president and CEO of Franciscan Health Michigan City (Ind.) and Franciscan Health Michigan City at La Porte (Ind.) as well as LaPorte County supporting clinics. He is also taking on the president and CEO role at Franciscan Alliance’s new facility under construction in Porter County as well as other Porter County facilities.
Additionally, Frank McHugh, CFO of Franciscan Health Olympia Fields, will serve as interim president and CEO at that location, according to the release.
Franciscan is a Mishawaka, Ind.-based system with 12 hospital campuses and more than 19,000 employees.
