Florida hospital taps philanthropy chief amid mounting capital projects

Jupiter (Fla.) Medical Center named Traci Simonsen chief philanthropy officer of its foundation, effective immediately.

Ms. Simonsen joined the foundation in June 2022 as associate vice president of philanthropy, according to a June 20 news release shared with Becker's. She previously served as executive director of major and planned gifts for Louisville, Ky.-based Norton Healthcare and Children's Hospital Foundation.

The appointment comes as Jupiter Medical Center undergoes "the most transformative period in its history," according to the news release. The hospital recently partnered with Enola, Pa.-based PAM Health on a $25 million rehabilitation hospital, received final approval from the city to build a $110 million patient tower, and plans to unveil a $100 million surgical institute by the year's end.
