Florida hospital taps chief nurse

Bradenton, Fla.-based Manatee Memorial Hospital has named Judy Young, BSN, RN, as chief nursing officer. 

Ms. Young brings more than 38 years of nursing experience to the role, according to an Aug. 6 news release shared with Becker’s. She most recently served as chief nurse at Lakewood Ranch (Fla.) Medical Center. During her tenure, the hospital received “A” safety grades from The Leapfrog Group and earned clinical certifications for numerous specialties.

In her new role, Ms. Young will report to Manatee Memorial Hospital’s CEO, Andy Guz. She will oversee all nursing services and clinical aspects of all hospital departments. 

Manatee Memorial is the flagship hospital of Manatee Health. The hospital rebranded to Mantee Health in 2024 to reflect its growth in outpatient services, including home health and rehabilitation care.
