Florida AHCA official resigns post

Liz Dudek, secretary of Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration, has resigned, reports Sunshine State News.

Ms. Dudek has held the position since 2011 when Gov. Rick Scott (R) took office.

Before becoming secretary, Ms. Dudek was bureau chief of health facility compliance at the ACHA. She also served as assistant deputy secretary of managed care and health quality for the AHCA.

Ms. Dudek will officially step down Oct. 3. Justin Senior, deputy secretary of the division of Medicaid, will step in as interim secretary.
