Excela Health CEO, COO unexpectedly step down: 4 things to know

Greensburg, Pa.-based Excela Health President and CEO Bob Rogalski is leaving, according to a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette report. Mike Busch, COO of the health system is also leaving.

Four things to know:

1. Mr. Rogalski became CEO of the health system in 2010.

2. He joined the health system’s board in 2009.

3. The health system is seeking “fresh perspectives,” Board Chair Teresa Petrick told Trib Live.

4. John Sphon, chief executive of MedCare Equipment, an affiliate of Excela Health, will become acting chief executive of the health system.
