Ascension names new Kansas ministry market executive: 5 things to know

St. Louis-based Ascension appointed Don King senior vice president and ministry market executive for its Kansas region, effective April 15.

Five things to know:

1. Mr. King most recently served as COO for Ascension Alabama.

2. He also has experience at Ascension Tennessee, where he served as president and CEO of the multihospital enterprise.

3. Before joining Ascension, Mr. King worked at Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare.

4. He is a current participant in the Ascension Leadership Academy and has served as board member of the American Heart Association of Middle Tennessee.

5. Mr. King received the American College of Healthcare Executives’ Regent’s Award in 2014.
