Manchester, N.H.-based Elliot Health System permanently named Martha Leighton, RN, senior vice president and chief nursing officer.
Here are five notes:
1. Most recently, Ms. Leighton served as interim CNO of the health system for the past year.
2. She has worked at Elliot for 22-plus years, serving in numerous leadership roles including clinical nurse leader and patient safety officer.
3. She has previously worked as a clinical assistant professor at Durham-based University of New Hampshire, teaching nursing to bachelor's and master's degree students.
4. She has also served on faculty for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement's perinatal community.
5. She is a member-at-large of the New Hampshire Health Care Quality Assurance Commission's executive committee.
