Edward J. Benz Jr., MD. President and CEO of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Boston). Dr. Benz has served as president and CEO of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute since 2000. He acts as CEO of Dana-Farber/Partners CancerCare and director of Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and is a trustee of Dana-Farber/Children’s Hospital Cancer Care. Dr. Benz is also the Richard and Susan Smith Professor of Medicine and faculty dean for oncology at Boston-based Harvard Medical School. Prior to his role as president and CEO of the institute, he served as a professor and chairman of the department of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. Dr. Benz has authored more than 200 articles, books, chapters, reviews and abstracts and acts as an associate editor for the New England Journal of Medicine.
