Edgefield County Hospital appoints new CEO: 3 things to know

Edgefield (S.C.) County Hospital has appointed Carlos Milanes CEO.

Here are three things to know about Mr. Milanes.

1. The ECH board voted to confirm the appointment of Mr. Milanes as CEO, effective July 27.

2. Mr. Milanes joined ECH April 20 as interim CEO. 

3. In a letter from the ECH board, board members touted the work Mr. Milanes did as interim CEO. “His performance during the first three months as interim CEO demonstrate his ability to establish positive working relationships with physicians, employees, [the hospital board] and community leaders,” the letter reads. “Feedback has been very positive, and with his leadership we are increasing volume and bringing more specialty providers to ECH. We are fortunate to have someone with Carlos’s level of experience and connections to the healthcare community to be our CEO.”
