Eastern Niagara Hospital taps Lockport mayor as new CEO: 6 things to know

Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport, N.Y., selected Anne E. McCaffrey to serve as president and CEO.

Here are six things to know:

1. Ms. McCaffrey currently serves as mayor of the city of Lockport. She will step down from the role Aug. 8.

2. During her time as mayor, she oversaw a financial turnaround for the city, leading it from a $4 million deficit to a $4.4 million fund balance.

3. She has previous experience serving in leadership roles at Lake Shore Behavioral Health in Buffalo, N.Y., such as director of vocational services and director of rehabilitation services.

4. She has served on the boards of several community organizations, including Greater Lockport Development and Rotary Club.

5. Ms. McCaffrey succeeds Clare Haar who left in May.

6. Eastern Niagara Hospital is in the process of affiliating with Buffalo, N.Y.-based Kaleida Health under an “active parent” model.
