Westfield Memorial Hospital names new president: 4 things to know

Westfield (N.Y.) Memorial Hospital selected Valarie Jackson to serve as president, effective Aug. 13.

Here are four things to know:

1. Ms. Jackson most recently served as vice president of the hospital services division at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport, Pa.

2. Previously, she served as executive director of regional operations for UPMC Hamot Heart and Vascular Institute as well as director of regional business development and telemedicine for UPMC Hamot, both in Erie, Pa.

3. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

4, Ms. Jackson holds a master of science degree in exercise physiology and cardiac rehabilitation from East Stroudsburg (Pa.) University.
