East Jefferson General Hospital names Dr. Raymond DeCorte CEO: 4 notes

Metairie, La.-based East Jefferson General Hospital tapped Raymond DeCorte, MD, to serve as interim president and CEO. The Jefferson Parish Council approved the appointment on March 22.

1. A general surgeon, Dr. DeCorte most recently served as CMO of the hospital.

2. His previous roles at EJGH include serving as chief of staff and medical director.

3. He replaces Mark Peters, MD, who retired effective March 16.

4. The hospital will continue a nationwide search to find a permanent CEO replacement.
