Dr. Donley currently serves as Cleveland Clinic’s chief of staff and chief of clinical operations. He will continue in these roles until his replacement is selected. He will split his time between Cleveland and London until fall 2018 to help with the transition.
Dr. Donley, an orthopedic surgeon, joined Cleveland Clinic in 1986. He is also a professor of surgery in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. He has held several leadership roles at Cleveland Clinic over the years, including president of regional hospitals and family health centers.
Cleveland Clinic London will be housed in a six-story, 198,000-square-foot building. It will feature 200 inpatient beds, a full imaging suite, day rooms for surgery and a full neurological suite with rehabilitation.
“Brian’s leadership experience and his success as an educator and innovator make him exceptionally qualified to take on this important new role,” said Tom Mihaljevic, MD, Cleveland Clinic’s president and CEO.
