HCA names division chief nursing executive for 23 hospitals

Medical City Healthcare, a North Texas division of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, appointed Brandy Stegall, MSN, RN, as division chief nursing executive. 

In August 2024, Ms. Stegall became the chief nursing officer of Medical City Fort Worth, a 378-bed acute care hospital in Texas. Effective Aug. 31, she “will oversee nursing practice, education, informatics, research and operations for nurses across Medical City Healthcare’s 22 hospitals and Rapides Regional Medical Center” in Alexandria, La., according to an Aug. 26 news release. 

Ms. Stegall has worked at HCA Healthcare for 22 years, the release said. In addition to serving as CNO of Medical City Fort Worth, she has also held CNO roles at two Texas hospitals: Medical City Denton and Medical City Lewisville.

“Throughout her career, Stegall has led nursing teams through three successful Magnet designations and earned multiple HCA Healthcare Unit of Distinction Awards in emergency services, heart and vascular care, and intensive care across three consecutive years,” Medical City Healthcare said.
