1. Dr. Fregoli most recently served in dual roles as vice president of quality and patient safety at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland and chief medical informatics officer of both St. Joseph Mercy Oakland and St. Mary Mercy Livonia (Mich.).

2. Both St. Joseph Mercy Oakland and St. Mary Mercy Livonia are part of the Saint Joseph Mercy Health System, based in Livonia.

3. A family medicine physician, Dr. Fregoli is a clinical assistant professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit and Michigan State University School of Medicine in East Lansing.

4. He succeeds Michael K. Smith, DO, who left the role to serve as executive consultant to the hospital’s president.
