Dennis Pullin steps into CEO role at Virtua

Dennis W. Pullin assumed the president and CEO roles at Marlton, N.J.-based Virtua health system, effective Oct. 12.

Previously, Mr. Pullin served as president of Medstar Harbor Hospital and senior vice president of MedStar Health, both based in Baltimore. He also spent time as senior vice president and COO of MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Pullin is a member of the American Hospital Association’s governance council as well as a regent to the American College of Healthcare Executives.

“I look forward to building upon the already solid foundation to embark on the next era of healthcare,” said Mr. Pullin in a statement. “I believe we are on the threshold of what I know is an exceptionally promising future for Virtua.”

Mr. Pullin succeeds Richard P. Miller, who is retiring.
