David S. Wagner tapped to lead Pearland Medical Center: 5 things to know

David S. Wagner has been appointed CEO of Pearland (Texas) Medical Center, effective Aug. 8.

Here are five things to know about Mr. Wagner.

1. He has 29 years of hospital administration experience.

2. Most recently, Mr. Wagner served as the vice president of facilities management and support services at Tulsa, Okla.-based Saint Francis Health System since 2011.

3. His previous roles include vice president of Saint Francis Health System’s home care and support services division, as well as administrator of CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital in Beeville, Texas.

4. He also served as the assistant executive director of General Health Services Corp. and administrator of patient care services at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas; and vice president of operations at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas.

5. Mr. Wagner earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Texas A&M University in College Station and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University in San Antonio.
