Dana-Farber Cancer Institute hires James Terwilliger as COO: 4 notes

Boston-based Dana-Farber Cancer Institute appointed James Terwilliger executive vice president and COO, effective Feb. 18.

Here are four notes:

1. Mr. Terwilliger is currently vice president of clinical services at New York City-based Montefiore Medical Center.

2. He has previously served as executive vice president of the UPMC Cancer Center and vice president of cancer services at Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health.

3. Mr. Terwilliger also holds a master’s degree in public health from University of California Los Angeles.

4. Mr. Terwilliger replaces Dorothy Puhy, who is retiring.
